Til The End of Time:
Written by: Andrew Atilano
He met her in the park
On their favorite bench,
and she looked pale and grave,
as he couldn't guess fast enough.
She said "I need some space,
some time to clear my head, this is too fast."
He could only sit in shock,
as she got up to leave.
But before she was gone,
and said goodbye,
he got out these words,
just special for her:
"I'll be here, just waitin'.
You’re my one and only true.
I’ll be here, just sittin’.
Cause with out you,
There’s no point in moving on.”
So she left and traveled,
The world at her feet,
But his words always,
in the back of her mind.
She fell in love,
Got her heart broken,
Too many times to count,
And she couldn’t take being from home.
So one night, she drove home,
The rain of the night, blinding her until,
She saw on that bench,
A man there waiting.
He said: “I’m still here, just waitin’.
Til you come back home.
I’m still here, just sittin’.
Cause there’s nowhere I wanna be,
Without you.”
She couldn’t hold back
the tears while she worked,
thinking “What makes a man like this?”
She finally realized he loved her still,
But when she got to the bench, a note for her.
“I’ll be there, just sittin’.
Outside these pearly gates.
I’ll be there, just waitin’.
Cause it ain’t no heaven without u.”
“I’ll be there, just waitin’.
Cause your world is still alive.
I’ll be there, Just sittin’.
Till my love is here with me.”
“So take your life as it comes,
don’t rush to get here,
cause I’ll be here,
til the end of time.”
